Of course, Venezuela ... just like Iraq and Iran ... is a special strategic prize

by Steven Lendman
I just read Eva Golinger's very disturbing article on VHeadline.com. I've read some of her other writing in the past and want to praise and thank her for it all.

* She is providing a vital service for the free people of Venezuela and its democratically elected government and President, Hugo Chavez.

I've also done some writing on Venezuela and I quoted Eva's work in one of my articles as a very responsible and valued source. I, too, know how determined, unrelenting and vicious my government can be as we witness every day in Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti and really nearly everywhere at one time or other.

They want nothing less than what they call "full spectrum dominance," as I'm sure Eva knows, to control all land, sea, air and space with no possible challenger. If one sticks its head up (they've put in writing and I've read the chilling stuff) that they'll go to war using nuclear weapons to destroy them.

They're not kidding and may do it against Iran for their oil and greater control of the vital Middle East.

Of course, Venezuela, just like Iraq and Iran, is a special strategic prize. They'll never rest until they once again control that oil and gas treasure and return the people to serfdom in the process. I can only hope Hugo Chavez is taking every step to learn and know who's friend and who's foe around him and in high positions in the government and military.

His life depends on it, and so does the Bolivarian revolution and the fate of the Venezuelan people who deserve what it took them centuries to achieve.

Whatever happens, I hope the people are prepared to fight for and defend their great gains and freedoms. And I hope the spirit of the Bolivarian revolution can spread like a wonderful virus and infect all countries in the hemisphere and the developing world.

Eva: Thank you for your wonderful work.
