Attempt on the life of key witness

Accomplices of international terrorist Luis Posada Carriles and faithful to the utilization of explosive devices, tried to kill a key witness in the case against the criminal, according to the Miami press.
Gilberto Abascal, an FBI source who confirmed Posada Carriles’ illegal entry into the United States from Mexico aboard the Santrina boat in March 2005, found the device in his own car, PL reports.
The criminal’s buddies placed the bomb in the intended victim’s truck last Sunday in Hialeah, Florida according to the Spanish-language edition of The Miami Herald.
Abascal informed the Miami-Dade county police, informing them that he was a FBI witness.
In August 2006, Abascal escaped uninjured from another attack by unknown assailants who fired on his truck on a highway close to Hialeah Gardens.
