Bolivia Economy Busts Neolib Chains
The Bolivian economy will grow 4,1 percent this year, a specialized organization reported on Tuesday, as the government prepares alternatives to neoliberal economic policy.
The perspectives of this growth were planned by the Center for the Analysis of Economic and Social Policies (UDAPE), as part of a comprehensive assessment of the economy in 2005 and its perspectives for 2006.
The mentioned official organization said the growth will be feasible, due to an increase of hydrocarbon, mineral, and other exports, as well as other diverse factors.
Minister of Planning for Development Carlos Villegas stated that the National Development Plan the government is elaborating will be of a decentralized nature.
Villegas asserted that President Evo MoralesĀ“ government wants to solve the serious unemployment inherited from consecutive neoliberal administrations that had run the country since 1985.
