Deputy Commander Marcos, leader of the Zapatista Front of National Liberation, paid tribute to the Cuban Revolution and commander Ernesto Che Guevara, when talking in a forum held in the state of Morelos.

Marcos stated that the United States, after almost 50 years, discovered that the Cuban people's option does not depend on an exceptional man, but rather a commitment to history.

That attitude is shared by the Latin American peoples and is called freedom and justice, said the deputy commander.

"Then, the problem for the US government has not the name of President Fidel Castro but, to simply say it, that of Cuban Revolution," he pointed out.

In another part of his speech, Marcos highlighted the US found out 40 years ago that the rebellion of a continent did not die with the murder of Ernesto Che Guevara, because his ideas are still embodied in individuals and peoples.
