yeah. i fell off the face of the planet.

i have been in the jungle for the past week seeing mayan ruins. you might remember this one from the first star wars. ed sure does. he has been there.

i am in chiapas at the moment watching with a sense of wonderment how the zapatistas have been co-opted into tourist kitch. the markets are filled with everything from pink baby t-shirts to handbags with subcomandante marcos´s face on it. it is like a goddamn ché bong in a college dormroom. another instance of a humanitarian struggle being consumed by the vacuum of the global market. and my tourist dollars are helping. needless to say i only bought the zapatista dolls.
