Ahmadinejad in Ecuador to review issues of mutual interest

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his accompanying delegation arrived here Sunday night on the last leg of a three-nation Latin American tour which has already taken him to Venezuela and Nicaragua.

President Ahmadinejad and his Ecuadorian counterpart, Rafael Correa, are to begin their first round of talks shortly.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki is accompanying Ahmadinejad in this Latin American tour.

The Iranian president, during his day-long visit in Caracas, Venezuela, Saturday met and conferred with President Hugo Chavez.

He arrived in Managua, Nicaragua, Sunday morning and held talks with newly elected President Daniel Ortega.
