A few weeks have passed since Chavez' incendiary and controversial speech at the United Nations where he called George W. Bush "The Devil," and although this produced an almost immediate retaliation, in the form of harassment to Venezuelan Chancellor Nicolas Maduro at the JFK airport from low level Customs officers, apologies from the US government were soon offered.
Some time before that, our customs officers detained an illegal cargo that the US Embassy tried to smuggle under diplomatic cover up.
A few days ago, the crates were handed to US Ambassador Brownfield, who was ready to minimize the incident and offered some ejector seat parts for military aircrafts in exchange; remember that the US refused to comply with the contractual obligation to supply airplane spare parts in a diplomatic confrontation prompted by the US State Department.
Don't get bored, I'm just trying to add pieces to the puzzle so we can draw some conclusions here. Let's see, just before the UN speech, Chavez was with Iran's President Ahmadinejad, both here in Venezuela and in Cuba where the Non-Aligned Countries' meeting was held. And before that, Chavez spent almost two weeks around the world, meeting with State Leaders that in many cases are regarded as hostile by the US.
And, in top of the cake, we have the anti-imperialistic rhetoric at which Chavez is a master. Every speech he delivers is a finger pointing at US and Israel's pretensions of domination and at the war crimes committed by this Unholy Alliance of warmongering thugs.
Something is out of focus here. How comes that Chavez goes on a worldwide anti-US tour and stages the end show at the UN barking at Bush, calling him "The Devil"... and yet is handled with gloves by the US government?
Just a bland, vague response from John "Zero to the left" Bolton, after an unmistakable hostility display on the previous months (US Navy deployment close to Venezuelan coasts, a new CIA section for Cuba and Venezuela, assorted accusations from Condy, Negroponte & Craddock just to name a few).
What's cooking here?
Well, let's assume you're up to something bad and evil, and somebody says it loud: you try to minimize things so nobody pays attention. Then you do your thing, and throw in some show to further distract the attention. This is what happened in this past weeks. Satan, Lucifer, whatever name you like to call Georgie II, did his hat trick in front of your and our noses.
What used to be a "de facto" dictatorship is legally becoming one with the supine approval by the Legislative Branch of the US government, the same body that was supposed to protect USAmericans from the Executive branch excesses. Meanwhile, the public opinion is busy with child molesters matters, where a perverted clown was sacrificed for the sake of the unconstrained power aspirations of the ruling elite.
USAmericans, you've been robbed your moral values...
The things that you held dearest, like the Bill of Rights, have gone down the drain. Your military fought and died for symbols that no longer exist. A gang of greedy mercantile thugs has castrated your future and freedom. Now they own your privacy, your opinions, your money and your children, and they'll use them for their own benefit-not yours. Your Armed Forces will be used to open markets for foreign interests, alien to your own. Or maybe they'll be used against you. Your dissent will turn you from concerned citizens to illegal combatants, devoid of rights that used to protect mankind from abuses for centuries. International Conventions and Convivencia agreements will no longer be available. Your daily little battles for survival will become a man-eat-man struggle at its most basic, Darwinian style.
What are you going to do?
You're starting to realize that voting Democrat won't change much things. Your elected representatives are already in the game, and you know that truth deep inside. Don't expect changes if you don't change. This bipartisan game has been going on for too long a time: it's just the good cop/bad cop trick, they're on the same side, theirs, not yours.
You need a revolutionary change, you need to reclaim your original power as You The People, together with the Military, to take control of your own country again. Talk to the vets, ask the men and women who fought for your freedom to help you get rid of this evil form of government of the rich and the ruling class.
However alluring, any high hierarchy retiring military man or woman can refuse to work for military contractors and start campaigning to give back the power to the people, thus reaching true, higher heights of honor as (s)he deserves.
Am I at risk to get a free one ticket ride to Guantanamo for this words?
