Quito
Jun 14
Bolivian President Evo Morales highlighted in this capital Cuba and Venezuela's unconditional solidarity and support for his country, at a meeting with thousands of Ecuadorian indigenous people.
In front of an audience of over 4,000 people at the Ecuadorian House of Culture, Morales said "there will be many countries like Cuba in Latin America in a short period of time that live with dignity and sovereignty."
The indigenous statesman showed great admiration and respect for Cuban President Fidel Castro and Venezuela's Hugo Chavez for their unconditional support of his country, and emphasized peoples' need to fight for land and recover natural resources.
On Wednesday, Morales is due to honor Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in the 78th anniversary of his birth in the small village of La Higuera, place where the Argentinean-Cuban guerrilla fighter lived his last hours of his life.
The Bolivian head of State, who arrived Tuesday in Quito to attend the CAN heads of States summit, returned to La Paz last night.
